Shenandoah Sowash is a poet and essayist. Her work has appeared in Vinyl Poetry, Smartish Pace, PANK, RHINO, Poet Lore, and elsewhere. She has received  fellowships from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Lannan Foundation, the Bread Loaf Writers Conference, the Kimmel Nelson Harding Center for the Arts, the Summer Literary Seminars, and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. She is currently completing her first book.
